Treatment of periodontal disease
The main goal of treatment is to control the infection. The number and types of treatment may vary, depending on the extent of the gum disease. The most common procedures include: non surgical (deep cleaning, and meditation), or surgical periodontal treatment. Good oral hygiene is essential for successful treatment of periodontal disease.
Treatment of Gingival Recession
Gingival recession is receding gingival tissue with exposure of tooth surface. It may cause hypersensitivity, root caries and esthetic concern. The reason of gingival recession can be complicated. Gingival recession can be treated successfully by augmenting attached gingival tissue and regaining root coverage. Please contact our office for treatment evaluation and options. About Crown Lengthening Procedure
Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure to adjust soft tissue and bone to expose more tooth structure. For example, if a tooth or multiple teeth is fractured or has extensive decay, results in no enough tooth structure to support crowns or bridges, crown lengthening procedure can be used to gain more solid tooth structure to achieve the restorative goal.
Cosmetic crown lengthening is also used to reshape soft tissue or bone to achieve more even gum line to improve your smile. The procedure can be done on one tooth or multiple teeth; it can be done alone, or many times performed before restorative procedure such as veneers and/or crowns.
